Escaped prisoner charged with radio commentator’s murder remains at large

CMFR/Philippines – An escaped convict charged with the murder of Joash Dignos, a radio commentator killed on 29 November 2013. The suspect remains at large, while his five accomplices are still unidentified.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) charged Dionesio Daulong with the murder of radio commentator Joash Dignos on 5 December 2013.

Six men shot Dignos on 29 November, Friday night, in Valencia City, Bukidnon province.

Two witnesses, said Valencia City Police Station investigator PO3 Ibrahim Salvacion, identified Daulong.

Salvacion said Daulong led 20 of his fellow inmates to escape from Valencia City Jail last 3 September 2013. Daulong is also a suspect in other murder and criminal cases, Salvacion said.

Daulong is still at large, as well as five other unidentified assailants.
